2003 Spirit of Columbia Space Shuttle Memorial 1 oz Silver Round
Honor a defining moment in space exploration with this exquisitely crafted commemorative piece honoring the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia. Struck in pure .999 fine silver, this emotional tribute round immortalizes the legacy of the final voyage on February 1, 2003. The obverse presents a high-relief depiction of the shuttle in mid-flight above the Earth, framed by the poignant words "The Spirit of Columbia". On the reverse, seven stars encircle a deeply moving inscription: "A tribute to the seven new stars in the heavens. Lost but not forgotten". Having spent over two decades preserved in private collections, this beautifully reflective round retains its original brilliance while accumulating a subtle, natural peripheral tone that highlights its intricate details. This historical collectible beautifully bridges the gap between premium bullion investment and historically significant numismatic art. Secure this timeless piece of NASA history for your portfolio or collection today at Gold & Silver Assay.
